Bank closer paralegal for attorneys representing lenders, such as banks and mortgage brokers. Closings include purchases, refinances, reverse mortgages, assignments of mortgage, consolidations/extensions/modifications.
Prepare deeds and/or deed changes, and powers of attorney, as needed. Also responsible for creating any affidavits needed for closing.
Create HUD statements and fully explain them to the borrowers/sellers before they sign. Prepare and distribute all escrow checks and certified funds for closings, including buyers, sellers, attorneys, title companies, lenders, payoff mortgage companies, and title closers.
Ensure all mortgage paperwork is signed and notarized.
